Venezuela earthquake response
Help mothers and children survive the weeks ahead.
On June 24, two earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 struck northern Venezuela. In La Guaira and around Caracas, whole neighborhoods lost their homes, water and clinics. Mothersgift Foundation funds food, clean water and safe shelter for the families hit hardest.
Gifts made now fund the next deliveries.
The families who recover are the ones reached in the first weeks. We fund partners who live and work in the affected communities, so gifts become food, water and shelter supplies within days, while the need is at its worst.
- We direct gifts from this appeal to the Venezuela earthquake response.
- Our partners live in the communities they serve, in La Guaira and the wider Caracas area.
- Card details are encrypted by our PCI compliant payment provider and never touch this site.
Thank you.
Where gifts go
Three priorities, in order.
We set priorities from partner assessments in the affected communities, then fund what families need first.
Emergency essentials
Food staples, clean drinking water and hygiene kits for families in the hardest hit neighborhoods of La Guaira and Caracas.
Safe shelter
Tarps, tents, bedding and emergency repairs so mothers and children can sleep protected while buildings are assessed.
Recovery
Once the emergency phase closes, funds shift to repairs, household goods and support for local livelihoods.
Common questions
Where does my donation go?
Gifts to this appeal fund the Venezuela earthquake response: emergency food, clean water, hygiene supplies, shelter materials and, in the later phase, rebuilding support for families in La Guaira and the wider Caracas area.
Can I give monthly instead of once?
Yes. Select Give monthly above. Monthly gifts matter most after the first news cycle ends, because they let relief continue when attention has moved on.
Is my payment information safe?
Yes. Card details are entered into encrypted fields hosted by our PCI compliant payment provider and are never stored on this website.
